What should I do after a dental emergency?

No matter the emergency — if you experienced a dental accident, get professional help. Your possibilities to resolve the situation with relative simplicity will increase the faster you seek treatment from our emergency dentist.

I got a knocked-out or chipped tooth. Now what?

Try to keep your damaged tooth wet at all times. If possible, place the tooth back in the socket without harming the root. If that doesn’t work, try putting it in milk or between your gums and cheeks until you can see a dentist. You can also apply a cold compress to your cheek to lessen swelling.

How can I stop a toothache?

Clean your mouth with warm water first. Then, use dental floss to gently remove debris, such as food stuck between the teeth. Applying medicine to aching teeth or gums might worsen the problem. Call us soon after applying a warm compress and rinsing the affected area with saltwater.
